Signal-to-Noise Ratio

Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) is the ratio of Signal Power to Noise power, typically expressed in decibels.

• where higher SNR means the signal is stronger relative to the noise floor, making detection and demodulation more reliable
• where the noise power scales with Bandwidth: $P_{noise}=N_0\cdot B$
